Coronavirus Scare in Ireland

Coronavirus Scare in Ireland

I am getting a lot of queries over the past week from Clients, understandably, worried about getting something in place to protect their loved ones.  We are living in strange times.  There’s a lot of emotional posts on social media, and plenty of untruths too, that are increasing the public’s panic.  The most important thing is to try to remain calm, and only listen to reliable sources of information. If you’re unsure of the source, please don’t share it. Practice social distancing, keep washing your hands, keep kids away from elderly relatives. Let’s slow this thing down to buy us some time.

Do something productive with your time off…

I would hate to increase anyone’s panic, but during this time we are in lockdown, and work/activities have slowed down, perhaps it is a good time to make your Will. It is one of those things many of us put on the long finger. We all know if you have any assets, or if you have kids, you should have a Will in place. You should be the one who decides who would get your assets if anything happened to you.

Many married couples believe if anything happened, their spouse would automatically get everything, which often isn’t the case.

If you have kids, you should be the one to decide who would look after them if something happened.

With MakeMyWill Solicitors, everything can be done by phone or online, so you don’t need to worry about a face-to-face meeting. I am in my 6th year of business now, and have been social distancing without even realising it 🙂

I’d be happy to help draft your Will and get this ticked off your To-Do List, so at least it’s one productive thing you can say you did during the strange weeks ahead.

Call me on 086-8377559 or email me at susan@makemywill.ie and we can start working on it straight away.
