Eumom.ie article: “Moms Doing It For Themselves: Susan Murphy”
I was recently approached by Irish Parenting on-line magazine www.eumom.ie who asked me to do an interview with them to talk about why I chose to set up www.makemywill.ie.
During the interview we discussed what research I did before setting up MakeMyWill Solicitors, and what my motivation was for starting my own business. One of the reasons I decided to set up my Firm was to make it easier for people like me who have busy (often hectic) lives running around after young children while still trying to manage their career successfully. When I did the necessary research, I found one of the main things that put people off making their Wills was the hassle of actually going to see a solicitor in person; people are just too busy these days.
I explained to Eumom the simplicity of the process of making a Will with MakeMyWill Solicitors. They were very impressed that everything could be done over the phone or by email, and at a time that suits the Client. This does not have to be a tedious and time-consuming task, and all of my Clients revert afterwards to let me know how surprisingly painless the whole process was.
The interviewer also asked about my own background; where I studied and my previous work experience.
We discussed the highs and lows of starting my own business, and how I manage the work/life balance now that I am working from home. Here is the link to the article for those of you who would like to know a little more about me as a “working Mum”:
